In this weeks work, I was tasked with making thumbnails. I had a selection of plays to choose from for this project so I chose Cat on a hot tin roof. I drew 40 different thumbnails on A3 sheets of layout paper to start with, also using colour to show what pallets I had in mind.

I looked through all my thumbnails and chose 5 to refine into something better whether it be through changing the type size or moving things around.

I then chose three of my refined designs to make into a poster at a size of 120mm by 80mm.

Out of the three designs my favourite is the left one. I felt the colours worked well where the “hot” complemented the background and the black writing stood out from it.
